Frida Perler Bead Pattern from @CREATIFINY
One of our awesome previous swap participants made an incredible original perler bead design of Frida Kahlo for last year's swap and we knew it was something we wanted to share! She, incredibly, agreed to share the pattern with us in honor of the block party! Thanks to @CREATIFINY for all the info shared below! Unfamiliar with perler beads? Check this tutorial HERE.
When working with this pattern, mini size beads make the finished product about the size of your palm and regular beads will make Frida's face bigger than your hand. There's lots of options to play around with here to customize Frida to your needs including the colors that you use.
Color Key:
L- light skin
M- medium skin
D- darkest skin
b- blueish
B- black
W- white
H- headband
1, 2, 3- flower colors
E1, E2- earring colors
R1, R2- lip colors
You can print out the pattern to place it under your perler bead tray or simply keep it next to you as a visual aid. Lizette gave me the great advice to always take pictures as you make progress. You might accidentally bump your work and then the beads are mess! If you've taken photos along the way, your have something to refer back to.
