The following text is written by my Bee Creative Swaps partner, Lizette. I'm so happy to be putting together such inspiring content with her and the last few years of swaps have been incredible! There is an additional giveaway listed that is separate from the giveaway posted about earlier with the blog block party. Two giveaways in one day?! Oh yes! Read the full post below.
Since becoming a mother of two, cross stitching has become my to go craft. I tend to craft at night when my kids are asleep and I’m not too tired. However, if they need me all of a sudden I don’t have to worry about cleaning anything up or losing my inspiration, especially if I can’t get back to my cross stitch. My brain is already going a million miles per hour mothering and at the end of the day cross stitching helps me slow down while still doing something creative.
Instead of sharing my annual top ten favorite Frida Kahlo items on Etsy for this year, I decided to share ten of my favorite Frida cross stitch patterns on Etsy. Below are the Frida patterns chosen in no particular order. I’ve provided the link to the shops (when you click on the pattern’s title), the cost of the pattern, and feedback customers left on the pattern (if available).
“Lovely pattern. Can’t wait to make it.”
“Beautiful pattern, very clear and correct, happy with the results.”

VIVA LA FRIDA - official printed cross stitch pattern sampler by TheSnowflowerDiaries; Price $14.06 (Shipping not included)
TheSnowflowerDiaries’ Frida pattern was featured on my Top Ten Favorite Frida Kahlo Items on Etsy blog post in 2016.
“A very beautiful pattern! Plus, a few extra patterns which was so gracious and nice. Great service and considering it came from overseas, it was quick! Thank you!”
“I was so excited to get this pattern in the mail as I've had it in my favorites for a long time. Shipping was fast and the pattern is printed on high quality paper (and is also in color.) The color photo of the completed design is excellent, too. She even included another very sweet design as a bonus. I'm going to stitch this (over one) on some linen that I purchased while I was in Budapest last year. Thank you so much for an easy transaction! I can't wait to get started!”
“Perfect! Clear grid.”

“Super nice seller and very quick response to my question. Great colors and easy to follow pattern.”
“Beautiful pattern, love love it :)”
They are many cross stitch patterns with Frida’s face, which I love, but it would be nice to see more cross stitch patterns with her quotes. Frida’s words “quotes” are as powerful as her paintings. They help us understand her paintings better.
“Another great sampler!”
Many five stars reviews
These next two Frida Kahlo cross stitch patterns are very simple and will fit in a 4 inch embroidery hoop. Perfect for beginning cross stitchers.
Kim, cupcakecutie owner, actually posted this pattern after I sent her a private message. I asked her if she would be able sell me the mini Frida pattern since I only have 3” hoops available. She had the pattern ready for me to purchase the next day. Talk about awesome customer service!
Was there a Frida pattern shown that you like? I hope so. All the patterns are unique in there own way but do great job at portraying Frida.
