I don't know about most makers, but I find myself ordering a lot of stationary and paper goods. Owning a business, even a small Etsy shop, means business cards, stickers, promotional materials, etc, etc, etc need to be ordered. Because I don't have a huge budget, it's really important for me to find exactly what I want which is why I was really excited when Basic Invite contacted me!
Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows customers the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation so they can see exactly how it will print as well as the paper quality before they ever have to place their final order. No more looking at photos online and hoping it's what you need before you're stuck with 100 duplicates of the same thing!
I'm also at the age where everyone I know is starting to have kids and, even though I don't have kids, I have needed to order baby shower invitations to throw a friend or family member's shower. If you're creative, crafty, and moderately organized, you get asked to help plan a lot of events. Check out these unique invitations that go beyond the traditional themes like these bumble bee baby shower invites. One of my favorite features of ordering invites from Basic Invite is their almost unlimited range of colors with instant previews of your design. Once you select a design you can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different color options so you can make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the littlest detail. They even offer 3 foil colors! Even though they have several classic "It's a Boy!" or "It's a Girl!" options, there's so much more on the website.
The range of colors also includes the envelopes. There are over 40 different envelope colors! As someone who needed red and silver options for a non traditional baby shower for a friend, the envelope options might be my favorite find! Plus all the envelopes have a peel and seal feature to keep you from having that awful glue taste in your mouth for several hours.
And the easiest most life-changing part-- address capturing service! Have you ever planned a party for a friend and then had to figure out how to get contact information for all of their friends who you might not know very well?! Talk about a nightmare! Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other form of social media to request their friends and family’s addresses which will be stored in the customer’s account and can then be selected during the design process. Basic Invite even offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders. Seriously simplifies my life and event planning needs!
Right now Basic Invite is offering 15% off to my readers with coupon code: 15FF51 so you can test it out for yourself!
Whether you have a big event coming up or just have a million pregnant friends that you've offered to help throw baby showers for (raises hand), Basic Invite has you covered.

Have you set any resolutions or goals for 2019? I love having specific goals and writing them down to help with making it a reality. This year I decided to pick a word of the year. If you’re unfamiliar, a word of the year is when you pick a single word to set an intention to ground yourself in as opposed to making a list of a bunch of things to check off. When you’re trying to make decisions or plans, you can refer back to your word of the year as a guide for how to move forward. I have chosen the word LESS as recovering workaholic I need to the remind to take on fewer projects and get myself involved in less unnecessary stress or obligation. I’ve realized my favorite days are the ones with no plans so the word LESS is a reminder to make that happen for myself more often.
In honor of our words of the year, I made banners for as a visual reminder of our intentions for 2019 and a DIY is now available over at the Bee Creative Swaps Patreon page! Patreon is a paid website, but this specific DIY is FREE! It's a simple one but I love how it turned out. You might have enough materials for in your stash without buying anything new and you could probably get away without a sewing machine and using fabric glue instead.
Go check it out on the Bee Creative Swap Patreon and have a great New Year!
